David Lischner, M.D. (Medical Director, Board Certified Psychiatrist)

Dr. Lischner received his M.D. at the University of Washington. He completed his medical internship at the University of Pennsylvania and his specialty training in psychiatry at the University of Washington. His clinical interests include pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy for mood and anxiety problems and problems with emotion regulation. During his residency he was Inpatient Chief Resident in Psychiatry at the University of Washington. Upon graduation he was awarded the Hoffman Award for excellence in community psychiatry. He is a member of the clinical faculty at the University of Washington, where he teaches a yearly seminar in Interpersonal Psychotherapy to psychiatry and psychology residents. He is board certified in adult psychiatry and has memberships in the American Psychiatric Association and American Association for Anxiety Disorders. Dr. Lischner speaks Spanish as a second language. Before medical school he worked as a professional soccer player and as a schoolteacher in a middle school in Washington Heights in New York City. He also completed a Master of Science degree in Applied Science at New York University.
