Miles Lawrence, Psy.D., M.B.A. (Licensed Psychologist)

Dr. Lawrence has a doctorate in clinical psychology from Rutgers University, and a M.B.A. from Temple University. He completed his internship at Friends Hospital in Philadelphia.

Dr. Lawrence works primarily with adults with anxiety and related disorders using evidence based-approaches. He is an expert in behavioral / cognitive behavioral therapies. Dr. Lawrence specializes in treating the following anxiety disorders: Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Social Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Specific Phobias, and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. He also treats Compulsive Hair-Pulling (Trichotillomania) and Compulsive Skin-Picking, as well as Body Dysmorphic disorder. Dr. Lawrence has a particular clinical and research interest in OCD and social anxiety. In addition, Dr. Lawrence provides consultation to clinicians in the community.

Dr. Lawrence received extensive training in anxiety disorders at the University of Pennsylvania's Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety (CTSA). While at the CTSA, he worked under international experts including Drs. Edna Foa and Marty Franklin. He conducted evaluations and provided treatment on studies funded by the National Institute of Mental Health as well as through the center's outpatient clinic. Dr. Lawrence evaluated and treated adults with anxiety and related disorders using the latest scientifically validated techniques. He worked with adults from diverse backgrounds who were experiencing mild to severe anxiety using various treatment formats, including intensive therapy for obsessive-compulsive disorder. Dr. Lawrence also supervised graduate students, post-doctoral clinicians, and psychiatry residents.

In addition to treating clients with anxiety and related disorders, Dr. Lawrence is interested in working with executives and athletes to improve their performance. His interests include executive coaching, given his business education and previous experience as a director of a clinic. He also enjoys working with athletes and has designed performance-enhancement programs for college athletes and teams.
